Know Your Single Malt Scotches. On Wednesday, November 14th from 6-8p dozens of well dressed gentlemen came out to taste and learn about fine single malts from a few leading scotches. We gave away a couple of custom shirt certificates and hard-to-find bottles of Glen Moray 12 Year as well. By the end of the event these guys sounded like old pros discussing scotch with colleagues and knew exactly which scotch is best to gift their boss - all while checking out the latest in Fall/Winter looks from Nicholas Joseph.  Flannel suits, double breasted suits, and multi-colored sport coats were among the most talked about items. Nicholas Joseph Pop-Up Shop at John Allan's through 2012

Chicago’s go-to men's custom clothier Nicholas Joseph takes style to lofty new heights, with the opening of a pop-up location 24-stories above the bustling streets of Chicago's Loop – in addition to their swank River North showroom. Beginning October 5th, Nicholas Joseph sets-up its signature collection of custom-tailored suits, shirts, accessories and essentials designed for today's urban male, within the clubby-contemporary confines of John Allan's, located on the Penthouse Level of 111 West Jackson, Chicago.

This sleek Chicago out-post of the New York City-based men's grooming empire offers floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking a wrap-around terrace, with spectacular skyline views. Surrounded by amenities like a fully-stocked bar, billiards, flat-screen TVs, deep leather sofas and chairs, a full range of salon services from haircuts and shaves, to manicures, facials and massages are offered.

Look for ready-to-go items like Nicholas Joseph's fine Italian silk ties, pocket squares, mother-of-pearl collar stays and cufflinks, and cashmere essentials, in addition to displays of suits, sport coats, overcoats, trousers, dress shirts, fabrics and style options, with on-site measuring available at the pop-up on a regularly scheduled basis.

"A Nicholas Joseph pop-up in John Allan's seems a perfect fit, and allows us to bring our collection right to the heart of the Loop, showcasing our offerings in a relaxed, casual, stress-free setting," said Nicholas Joseph founder/owner Nicholas Hansen.

The Nicholas Joseph pop-up will be open during John Alan's regular business hours, Monday-Wednesday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday-Friday 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Appointments are required for custom clothing consultation, accessories may be purchased during regular business hours.

Nicholas Joseph Custom Wedding Suits and Custom Tuxedos Hit the Runway

MARCH 3, 2011 - Models hit the runway dressed in Nicholas Joseph Custom Wedding Suits and Custom Tuxedos, showing the full range of men's wedding looks: the classic black tuxedo, a midnight blue tuxedo, a shawl lapel tuxedo (pictured below), a destination wedding wool/linen three piece suit, and a classic charcoal grey three piece suit. The event, Luxury Meets Avant Garde,  at Gallery 1028 was a great success and was hosted by McKey Sullivan from America's Next Top Model.  Stunning bridal looks were provided by Belle Vie Bridal Couture and Vera Wang Chicago.

Founded in 1910 in Trivero and now based in Milan, Italy, Zegna is know through out the world as the premier innovators of fabrics for off-the-rack suits and custom suits alike. Famous for their Milanese flair in regards to their fabric patterns, its easy to overlook the quality that Ermenegildo Zegna has been at the fore front of for decades. They were the first textile house to produce super 100’s wool custom suit fabric, an innovation they first achieved in the 1960’s. An accomplishment made more amazing by the fact that it took most other mills till the early 1990’s to catch up.

Today they continue their trail blazing ways with Trofeo, the flagship of Zegna custom suit cloth, secretly used by top designers for their own suits. A staple for many custom suit makers, Ermenegildo Zegna is favored by top dignitaries, heads of state and CEOs the world over.
